2025 MYF&C Registration Details
Registration is now open for the 2025 Tackle Football & Cheer Season.
For this season OCYFL has adopted the use of NSID for player verification.
MYF&C offers a $50 early sign up discount for each program per player.
MYF&C offers a $20 Sibling Discount for each additional child registered.
A $100.00 work bond is included in your registration fee (1 per family), that can be returned when completing 6 volunteer hours within the league (contact a league rep for details).
The minimum age for our Football & Cheer Program is 5 years old and the maximum age is 11 years old. The division your child will play in will be determined by your child's age this year on or before 11/1 for Football and on or before 11/30 for Cheer.
Please note that all 5 year olds must be 5 on or after 8/1 of this year to join our program.
Proof of residency will be required for sign up.
Football Divisions:
Mighty Mites (MM) full contact 5-7 years of age, 120-pound weight restriction
Division 1 (D1) full contact 8-9 years of age, 125-pound weight restriction
Division 2 (D2) full contact 10-11 years of age, 142-pound weight restriction
Cheerleading divisions follow football division ages.
Football Equipment:
For football, your child is provided with a helmet, chin strap, shoulder pads, 2 sets of padded pants, and a practice jersey. All of these football items must be returned to MYF&C at the end of the season.
Parents are only responsible for a mouthpiece, cup, socks, and cleats.
Personalized game jerseys, with last names and numbers, are included in the registration fee and are the players to keep at the end of the season.
Jersey numbers are random each year and priority is given to returning players based on number and size availability (keeping a number is NEVER guaranteed).
Cheerleading Equipment:
For cheerleading, your child is provided with a shell top and skirt that are to be returned to MYF&C at the end of the season.
Cheerleaders also receive a track suit and a bow that are theirs to keep at the end of the season.
Coaches, Practices, and Games:
MYF&C is a member of the Orange County Youth Football League (OCYFL) and we are a USA Football Certified “Heads Up” Tackle Football Program.
MYF&C Football Coaches are USA Football certified for Heads Up Football and have background check approval. Our Football Coaches also meet the OCYFL requirements for First Aid & CPR/AED certifications. All of our divisions play with Section 9 Certified Referees.
MYF&C Cheer Coaches are YCADA certified and have background check approval. Our Cheer Coaches also meet the OCYFL requirements for First Aid & CPR/AED certifications.
Practices for Football & Cheer begin on August 1st at the Marlboro Middle School. Practices during the month of August are Monday through Friday, from 6 pm to 8 pm, weather permitting. Coaches, at their discretion, may change or update this schedule and will communicate directly with their teams.
When school starts, practices are 3 to 4 weekdays, depending on the division, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Mighty Mites and D1 typically practice Tuesday - Thursday and D2 typically practice Tuesday - Friday. Coaches, at their discretion, may change this schedule. Practice days may be changed due to weather or field conditions. Please note that Football does practice and play in the rain. We follow normal heat index and thunder/lightning policies and this will dictate practice activity during the season.
The season's schedule will include up to 9 games (OCYFL will release the schedule as soon as possible) plus potential playoffs as well a mighty mite bowl for our mighty mites.
Games are played weekly on Saturday OR Sunday. The season starts in early September and ends in late October to early November, depending on playoff & bowl eligibility and results.
Mighty Mite Bowl is typically held in the beginning of November.
Cheerfest is typically held in the beginning of November.
